A 73-year-old male was fatally shot after authorities say he was walking his dogs in Rogers Park Sunday morning.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on the 1400 block of West Sherwin around 11 a.m. Sunday.
The victim received a single gunshot wound to the head, police said.
“The initial investigation indicated that the victim may have been shot during the commission of a robbery,” police say.
No arrests have been made, though officials say the suspect was wearing a black ski mask and was dressed in all black.
The investigation is ongoing.
