Chicago Cubs Name Starting Pitcher for Division Tiebreaker Game

Quintana has pitched masterfully against the Brewers this season

The Chicago Cubs will take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday in a one-game tiebreaker, and they have named their starting pitcher for the game.

The cointest, which will determine the winner of the National League Central Division, will be started by Jose Quintana, who has had a stellar season against the Brewers in 2018.

Quintana has a 4-1 record with a 2.17 ERA in six starts against Milwaukee this season. He has struck out 33 batters and given up 23 hits in 37.1 innings of work, and has held Milwaukee to a paltry .177 batting average.

The Brewers have yet to name their starter for the game, according to manager Craig Counsell.

First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m., and the game will be played at Wrigley Field.
